New locks for armored doors |
We note that recently burglary cases have dangerously increased, and especially cases of breaking in through locked armored doors; there is a great amount of cases that have been recorded by the police authorities in city apartments.
Given the fact that in most cases the doors were equipped with a safe deposit type lock, the need for replacing the locks on our armored doors is now imperative.
According to the latest developments in the lock manufacturing business, as they were discussed at the last Locksmiths European Conference, the companies that import or manufacture armored doors are turning to cylinder locks replacing the safe deposit type locks with these.
Most of the burglary victims claim that not only their door was locked but that there were no keys in the lock from the inside. We cannot know whether the burglars had keys or some specific instrument, what we do know, though, is that the doors were broken and, in fact, in many cases, without traces of tampering.
There is no need, of course, to change the whole door, since this would be extremely expensive. It’s easier and safer to replace the lock of the door. The companies that manufacture locks for armored doors have a complete range of cylinder locks (locks that have a cylinder on them) to replace your old lock. The new technology locks for armored doors are not simple locks with a cylinder. They are provided with a special protection system that prevents the “breaking” (the violation) of the cylinder, as well as a special system of automatic blocking of the lock, so that the lock pistons do not move even when the cylinder has been broken or removed from the lock. Besides, the wide range of cylinders (cylinders with a double cut key and an anti-strike and anti-bumping system, cylinders with a key with dots, or cylinders with a controlled key duplication system) that can be applied on the locks, increases even more the safety rate.
